UPDATE - 1 April 2017

     The first usable mat has been created! It will be distributed between April and May. The weaving process took about three hours to complete, with the 3 lb mat consisting of around 250 bags. For the next mat, wire will be temporarily used on the outside sections of plarn to prevent warping and allow further compression.
